Responsibility
- Lead design direction from concept to construction, ensuring client vision aligns with budget and schedule.
- Develop comprehensive space plans, lighting strategies, and material palettes for premium interiors.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and production teams; present concepts and revisions with clarity.
- Create and manage project documentation, including drawings, specs, schedules, and procurement logs.
- Mentor junior designers, supervise production drawings, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Oversee procurement and vendor coordination; manage site visits and installation quality.
- Ensure design adheres to codes, accessibility standards, and sustainability goals.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field; accredited program preferred.
- 5+ years of professional interior design experience in residential or hospitality sectors, with a portfolio of high-end work.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite; strong rendering and 3D visualization skills.
- Excellent presentation, storytelling, and client management abilities.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, and sustainable design practices.
- NY state licensure or LEED accreditation a plus.
