We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead concept to commissioning for high end residential and boutique commercial projects in New York City. This is a full time role for a creative leader who blends aesthetics with strategy, client empathy with technical precision.
In this role you will collaborate closely with clients, architects, and trades to translate vision into functional, beautiful spaces. You will mentor junior designers, oversee documentation, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibility
- Lead conceptual design development for residential and commercial projects from concept through construction documentation
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, consultants to ensure design intent, budgets, and schedules
- Produce schematic layouts, space planning, 3D renderings, mood boards, material selections
- Develop detailed construction documents using AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp
- Review shop drawings, perform site visits, and ensure quality control and code compliance
- Manage vendor relationships, procure materials, specify finishes and furnishings, coordinate with BIM models
- Present designs to clients and stakeholders and iterate based on feedback
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field; NCIDQ preferred
- 5+ years of professional interior design experience with a strong portfolio
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong eye for color, materials, lighting, and texture; knowledge of building codes and accessibility standards
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with vendors and consultants
- Experience with project management, budgeting, and scheduling
