Responsibility
- Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation at live events, meetings, and remote sessions with accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
- Prepare glossaries and term bases for assigned industries to ensure terminological consistency.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and codes of conduct.
- Operate interpretation equipment and troubleshoot remote platforms (Zoom, Teams) as needed.
- Deliver real-time interpretation under tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and fellow interpreters to coordinate logistics and terminology.
- Conduct post-event debriefs and contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or higher in interpretation, linguistics, or related field; recognized interpretation certification is preferred.
- 3+ years of professional interpretation experience in conferences, healthcare, or legal settings.
- Active certifications (e.g., CI, CT, or equivalent) and involvement with professional associations.
- Native-level fluency in English and at least two additional languages; excellent listening, memory, and note-taking skills.
- Proficiency with interpretation equipment and software (booth consoles, portable transmitters, Zoom/Teams).
- Strong communication, intercultural competence, and customer-service mindset.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
