Responsibility
- Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation for conferences, meetings, webinars, courtrooms, or medical settings as required.
- Prepare for each assignment by reviewing glossaries, agendas, and subject matter materials in advance.
- Manage interpretation equipment including headsets, booths, and conferencing platforms.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and neutrality while delivering accurate, culturally sensitive interpretations.
- Support team by verifying glossaries, maintaining terminology databases, and providing post event debriefs.
- Collaborate with clients and organizers to ensure smooth linguistic flow and timing during sessions.
Qualification
- Fluency in English plus at least one additional language; professional interpretation certification (CI, CT or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of interpretation experience in at least two of the following domains: legal, medical, corporate, or conference.
- Strong memory, note-taking, and public speaking skills; ability to convey tone and nuance.
- Experience with remote interpretation platforms and in person events; familiarity with interpretation equipment is a plus.
- Excellent cultural competence and ability to work under tight deadlines and high pressure settings.
- Willingness to travel for assignments and to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Clear criminal background check and professional references available.
