Responsibility
- Provide high-quality consecutive and simultaneous interpretation for live events, meetings, and remote platforms in English and at least two other languages.
- Prepare and maintain terminology glossaries, style guides, and subject-matter references for accuracy and consistency.
- Lead briefing sessions with clients and event organizers to define scope, terminology, and booth logistics.
- Adapt to diverse industries and subject matters, delivering culturally nuanced interpretations while preserving speaker intent.
- Collaborate with a team of interpreters, project managers, and technical staff to ensure seamless event execution.
- Operate interpretation equipment, manage booths, and troubleshoot technical issues during events.
- Uphold confidentiality, professional ethics, and data security for all assignments.
- Mentor junior interpreters, provide feedback, and contribute to team training materials.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interpretation, Linguistics, or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years of professional interpretation experience in conference, legal, medical, or corporate settings.
- Proficiency in English plus at least two additional languages; advanced specialization in target languages is a plus.
- Certification or affiliation with recognized bodies (eg, AIIC, NAD, RID) or equivalent credentials.
- Expertise with interpretation equipment (headsets, booths, consoles) and remote interpretation platforms.
- Strong note-taking, memory, sight translation, and real-time listening skills.
- Excellent communication, cultural sensitivity, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Authorization to work in the United States and willingness to travel as required.
