We are seeking a highly skilled Interpreter to join our elite Language Services team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will provide top-tier simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for meetings, conferences, and corporate events. This role demands precision, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to liaise effectively with executives, clients, and participants.
As a Senior Interpreter, you will collaborate with our project managers to deliver flawless language support across high-profile engagements, ensuring confidentiality and professional poise throughout sessions.
Responsibility
- Provide high-quality simultaneous interpretation for live events and conferences in English and Mandarin (and other languages as needed).
- Deliver accurate consecutive interpretation for meetings, briefings, and negotiations.
- Prepare and manage glossaries, term bases, and cultural notes for consistent terminology.
- Set up and operate interpretation equipment (booths, microphones, headsets) and coordinate with event staff.
- Demonstrate professional booth etiquette, neutrality, and ethical conduct at all times.
- Support remote interpretation sessions and video conferences with reliable interpretation delivery.
- Provide post-event debriefs, feedback, and recordings when required.
Qualification
- Minimum of 5 years of interpretation experience in corporate settings or conferences.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin; additional languages are a plus.
- Proven track record in simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for high-stakes events.
- Excellent memory, note-taking, and public speaking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency with interpretation equipment and basic AV setup.
- Professional certification in interpretation (CATI/CI or equivalent) is preferred.
