MetroPulse Media is seeking a Senior Journalist to lead investigative and digital storytelling in our New York City newsroom. You will craft in-depth reports, work across print, web, and social platforms, and mentor junior reporters to uphold the highest standards of accuracy and fairness.

Responsibility
- Lead investigative reporting projects from concept to publication, including planning, data analysis, source development, and interviews.
- Develop compelling enterprise stories that uncover trends and hold power to account across print, web, and audio/video platforms.
- Collaborate with editors, photographers, and data journalists to craft multimedia stories with strong narrative and visual elements.
- Verify information through rigorous fact checking and ethical reporting practices in line with AP style and newsroom standards.
- Mentor and train junior reporters in reporting techniques, newsroom ethics, and professional storytelling.
- Manage tight deadlines and coordinate coverage across multiple beats while maintaining accuracy and fairness.
Qualification
- Minimum 5 years of professional journalism experience with a strong portfolio of investigative or enterprise reporting.
- Proven ability to develop sources, manage complex data sets, and translate findings into clear, engaging stories.
- Strong command of newsroom ethics, libel laws, and AP style guidelines.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a track record of high-impact journalism.
- Experience with data journalism tools and basic analytics; proficiency in Excel, SQL, or Python is a plus.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to evolving newsroom priorities.
