Responsibility
- Produce accurate, timely reporting across assigned beats with strong on-the-record sourcing.
- Cultivate diverse sources, verify information, and develop investigative stories.
- Write clear, engaging articles with compelling nut graf and robust structure.
- Collaborate with editors, photographers, and videographers to produce multimedia packages.
- Edit and update breaking news stories as new information becomes available.
- Conduct data-driven reporting, including public records requests and data visualization coordination.
- Deliver copy suitable for print, online, and social platforms while adhering to AP style.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
- 2+ years of newsroom reporting experience; internships accepted for entry-level.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong command of AP style.
- Proven ability to verify information quickly under tight deadlines.
- Experience with data journalism, multimedia storytelling, and social media distribution.
- Ethical judgment, curiosity, and commitment to accuracy and fairness.
- Fluency in English; additional languages a plus.
