NovaGene Biotechnologies is seeking a Senior Laboratory Biologist to join our dynamic R&D team in Cambridge, MA. You will lead state-of-the-art experiments, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and translate scientific findings into actionable results.
In this role you will design and execute experiments in molecular biology and cell culture, optimize protocols, and ensure strict compliance with biosafety standards.

Responsibility
- Design and execute molecular biology experiments and analytical assays
- Manage cell culture workflows for mammalian and microbial systems
- Optimize experimental protocols and troubleshoot assay performance
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data; prepare summaries for stakeholders
- Maintain accurate documentation in LIMS and ensure compliance with biosafety standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to translate findings into actionable project steps
- Mentor junior technicians and supervise daily lab operations
- Ensure instrument maintenance and safety compliance
Qualification
- Master’s or PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on lab experience in biotech or academic settings
- Strong experience with mammalian cell culture, PCR qPCR, and cloning techniques
- Proficiency in data analysis with Python or R; strong analytical and statistical skills
- Experience with CRISPR/Cas9, ELISA, and Western blot is a plus
- Knowledge of GLP, GMP, biosafety, and lab compliance
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to design experiments, manage time effectively, and document results precisely
