This role focuses on designing and executing high-impact experiments, driving data-informed decisions, and mentoring rising scientists in a collaborative environment.
In this role, you will contribute to preclinical programs by applying cutting-edge molecular and cellular biology techniques, maintaining rigorous experimental records, and communicating results to multidisciplinary stakeholders.
Responsibility
- Lead design, optimization, and execution of molecular and cellular experiments (cell culture, CRISPR gene editing, cloning, PCR/qPCR, assay development).
- Develop and validate analytical methods (ELISA, Western blot, flow cytometry, imaging) to support project goals.
- Analyze data using Python, R, and MATLAB; synthesize findings into actionable insights and presentations for internal teams and external partners.
- Collaborate with translational science, project management, and QA to advance preclinical programs with regulatory compliance in mind.
- Oversee documentation in SOPs and electronic lab notebooks; ensure GLP/GMP practices where applicable.
- Mentor junior scientists, supervise day-to-day laboratory operations, and promote a culture of safety and quality.
- Prepare technical reports, contribute to manuscripts, and present results at internal reviews and external conferences.
Qualification
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, or related field; or a Master’s degree with 5+ years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced biotech environment.
- Extensive hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, cloning, PCR/qPCR, ELISA, and assay development.
- Strong experimental design, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills; proven ability to optimize protocols and workflows.
- Proficiency in Python, R, and MATLAB for data analysis; experience with data visualization and statistical methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, and mentoring abilities.
