Join Apex Legal Advisory, a premium law-tech consultancy serving Fortune 500 and high-growth firms. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Legal Consultant to lead strategic advisory, contract governance, and regulatory compliance initiatives across industries.
In this role, you will partner with executives and cross-functional teams to translate complex legal requirements into actionable solutions, draft scalable templates, and mitigate risk with proactive guidance. This is an opportunity to influence governance standards and support substantial commercial transactions.
Responsibility
- Lead complex contract reviews, negotiations, and drafting across commercial, vendor, and partnership agreements.
- Provide proactive regulatory and compliance guidance, including data privacy, anti-corruption, and risk management.
- Develop policy templates, playbooks, and governance frameworks to scale across the organization.
- Perform due diligence and risk assessments for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic collaborations.
- Advise on corporate structure, governance, and board-level matters with clear, actionable recommendations.
- Partner with legal operations, finance, and product teams to optimize contracting processes and cycle times.
- Deliver training and practical counsel to non-legal stakeholders to improve compliance culture.
- Draft and maintain standard contract clauses and negotiation playbooks for rapid deployment.
Qualification
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school; active bar admission in New York or equivalent.
- 5+ years of in-house or law-firm experience in legal consulting, corporate law, or compliance.
- Strong knowledge of corporate transactions, contracts, and regulatory regimes affecting multiple industries.
- Excellent negotiation, writing, and verbal communication skills with a pragmatic business orientation.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and counsel senior leadership.
- Experience with data privacy, information security, and risk assessment frameworks is a plus.
- Ability to balance speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented, with exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
