As a Senior Legal Consultant, you will partner with executives and cross-functional teams to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable programs, policies, and contracts that protect our clients while enabling growth.

Responsibility

  • Lead complex regulatory compliance engagements across industries including financial services, healthcare, and technology.
  • Perform in-depth contract review and drafting for master service agreements, NDAs, procurement contracts, and vendor arrangements.
  • Advise clients on risk exposure, remediation plans, and policy development to meet evolving regulatory standards.
  • Prepare client-ready legal research memos, briefings, and executive summaries with clear, business-focused insights.
  • Collaborate with risk, product, operations, and finance teams to implement practical compliance programs and controls.
  • Manage and mentor junior consultants, providing coaching and quality assurance on deliverables.
  • Support business development with proposal contributions, thought leadership, and client presentations.

Qualification

  • 7+ years of experience in legal consulting, regulatory compliance, or in-house advisory roles.
  • J.D. or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution; active bar admission in NY or ability to practice in NY.
  • Strong expertise in regulatory frameworks such as FINRA, SEC, GDPR/CCPA, and sector-specific standards.
  • Exceptional contract drafting, negotiation, and interpretation skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable business recommendations.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and client-facing skills; adept at managing multiple engagements simultaneously.
