Responsibility
- Lead voyage planning and route optimization using ECDIS, ARPA, and AIS technologies.
- Monitor weather, tides, currents, and maritime risk factors to ensure safe passage.
- Coordinate with masters, pilots, and port authorities for smooth port calls.
- Supervise navigator team, provide training on navigational standards and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with SOLAS, COLREGs, and company safety policies.
- Maintain and audit navigational charts, publications, and digital systems.
- Generate performance reports and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- Minimum 5-7 years of professional maritime navigation experience.
- Certification: STCW II/2 Master or Officer of Navigation, with relevant endorsements.
- Proficiency with ECDIS (e.g., familiar with standard systems) and ARPA, AIS, Radar.
- Strong knowledge of COLREGs, SOLAS, and maritime safety standards.
- Excellent decision-making, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work across time zones and in fast-paced environments.
- Fluent English; additional language skills are a plus.
