OceanLead Maritime Technologies is a leading provider of advanced navigation and vessel optimization software for the global shipping industry. We design, implement and support integrated navigation systems that enhance safety, compliance and operational efficiency.
We are seeking a Senior Maritime Navigation Systems Engineer to join our expanding team in Singapore. You will lead system architecture, integration, and performance optimization of ECDIS, ARPA, AIS, and route-planning solutions used by commercial fleets, offshore platforms and port authorities.
Responsibility
- Lead the design and deployment of integrated navigation solutions across onshore and offshore environments
- Architect and implement ECDIS, ARPA, AIS and voyage planning modules with a focus on reliability and safety
- Coordinate with customers, vendors and internal teams to gather requirements and deliver turnkey deployments
- Perform system integration, testing, commissioning and on-going performance tuning
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards and best practices
- Provide technical mentorship and support to regional engineers and shipboard teams
- Ensure compliance with IMO SOLAS, IHO standards and e-navigation initiatives
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Navigation, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; master's preferred
- 5+ years in maritime navigation systems engineering, with hands-on experience in ECDIS, ARPA and AIS
- Strong knowledge of voyage planning, route optimization and sensor fusion techniques
- Proficiency with NMEA 0183/2000 data streams, S-57/S-52 ENC design principles, and integration with onboard and shore-side systems
- Solid understanding of SOLAS, IMO resolutions and IHO standards; experience with e-navigation projects
- Excellent problem-solving, client-facing communication and project management skills
- Willingness to reside in Singapore or relocate as required; valid work authorization
- Professional certifications in navigation or maritime systems are a plus
