As a Senior Maritime Navigation Systems Engineer, you will lead the architecture, integration, and validation of ECDIS, ARPA radar, AIS, GPS/gyro systems, and related sensor suites across new-builds and retrofit projects. You will collaborate with shipowners, shipyards and port authorities to ensure compliance with SOLAS, IHO standards, and class society requirements.

Responsibility
- Lead the design, integration and testing of maritime navigation systems including ECDIS, ARPA, AIS and radar interfaces.
- Define system architecture, data flows and interfaces, ensuring compliance with IHO standards and SOLAS requirements.
- Collaborate with clients, shipyards and class societies during project planning, installation and sea trials.
- Plan and execute verification and validation, sea trials, on-site commissioning, and performance optimization.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, installation manuals and end-user training materials.
- Manage cross-functional teams of engineers, suppliers and software developers to deliver on schedule and budget.
- Maintain cyber security, software updates and strict change control across navigation systems.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in marine engineering, electrical engineering or related field; master preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in maritime navigation systems design and integration.
- Deep knowledge of ECDIS platforms, ARPA radar integration, AIS, GNSS and gyro systems.
- Strong understanding of IHO standards, SOLAS and class society requirements.
- Certifications such as STCW and GMDSS; proven safety culture and incident-free record.
- Excellent problem solving, written and verbal communication, and client-facing skills.
- Willingness to travel for on-site installations and sea trials (up to 20%).
- Experience with software and hardware integration using MATLAB, Python or C++ is a plus.
