Join Apex Motion Dynamics, a premium engineering firm delivering high-performance mechanical systems for automotive and industrial markets. We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, analysis, and cross-functional collaboration from concept through production.
This role blends hands-on design with strategic thinking to drive robust, manufacturable solutions that meet customer requirements and quality standards.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design work for advanced products, from concept through production release.
- Perform FEA/CFD analyses to validate designs, optimize performance, and reduce cost.
- Develop and maintain 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo).
- Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, sourcing, and supplier teams to ensure robust design for manufacturing and assembly.
- Own design reviews, risk assessments, and GD&T documentation in line with industry standards.
- Create and manage BOMs, test plans, and validation protocols; drive design for quality and reliability.
- Support prototype builds, test rigs, and manufacturing transfers; troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across programs.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 7+ years of mechanical design experience in product development, preferably automotive/industrial.
- Strong proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Creo) and FEA tools (Abaqus, ANSYS).
- Solid understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturability.
- Experience with PLM systems (Windchill, ENOVIA) and BOM management.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
- U.S. residency or work authorization; willingness to occasional travel.
