You will drive design, analysis, and optimization of high performance mechanical systems for aerospace and industrial applications. This is a hands-on, cross functional role with exposure to rapid prototyping, qualification testing, and collaboration with manufacturing teams. You will own system-level design from concept to verification, balancing performance, cost, and schedule.

Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end mechanical design for complex assemblies using CAD and simulation tools.
  • Perform FEA, modal, thermal, and tolerance analyses to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to optimize cost, manufacturability, and quality.
  • Develop and execute design verification plans, tests, and data analysis to validate requirements.
  • Create thorough documentation, BOMs, and participate in design reviews (DFMEA).
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
  • Support product development from concept through production transfer and field support.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred; 5+ years of design experience in aerospace or high-tech sectors.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Creo and PLM/PDM systems.
  • Strong experience with FEA tools (Ansys, Abaqus) and thermal analysis.
  • Solid understanding of GD&T and design for manufacturability and assembly.
  • Hands-on prototyping, testing, and design verification planning experience.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and project leadership abilities.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; ability to obtain additional clearances if required.
