In this position you will own mechanical concepts from initial feasibility through detail design, analysis, prototyping, validation, and production transfer. You will collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust, cost effective solutions that meet performance targets and regulatory requirements.

Responsibility
- Lead mechanical design of components and systems from concept to production
- Develop robust 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings for manufacturing
- Perform FEA analyses and validate with testing to ensure performance and reliability
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to meet targets
- Create and maintain design documentation, risk assessments, and design reviews
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a high-performance team culture
- Support supplier selection, prototyping, and transfer to manufacturing
- Drive continuous improvement and design for manufacturability initiatives
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks or Creo) and PLM systems
- Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, NASTRAN) and DOE methods
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and tolerancing
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
- Hands-on problem solving with a track record of delivering robust products
