As a key member of our engineering organization, you will own mechanical concepts, drive robust designs, and contribute to product strategy from concept through validation and launch.
Responsibility
- Lead mechanical design and development of precision motion systems from concept through validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) to deliver robust products.
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models (SolidWorks/ Creo) and detailed drawings with GD&T.
- Perform FEA, tolerance analysis, and durability testing; drive root cause analysis for field returns.
- Develop and execute design verification plans (DVP&R) and support risk management.
- Manage supplier interfaces and oversee prototyping, testing, and manufacturing handoffs.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews.
Qualification
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering; M.S. preferred.
- 5+ years in mechanical design of precision systems, with motion control or robotics experience.
- Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks or Creo) and FEA tools; experience with GD&T.
- Experience with product lifecycle, DVP&R, DOE, and reliability testing.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and supplier management.
- Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
