Job description

Join QuantaForge Engineering as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and lead the design, analysis, and delivery of high-performance mechanical systems. This role blends creative problem-solving with rigorous engineering discipline to drive product excellence from concept to production.

You will own mechanical architecture, detailed CAD models, tolerancing, BOMs, and design for manufacturability while collaborating with cross functional teams across hardware, electronics, and operations.

Responsibility

  • Lead mechanical system design from concept through production release, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Develop and manage CAD models, drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks or Creo.
  • Conduct FEA and structural analysis to validate performance and safety under real-world conditions.
  • Perform GD&T based tolerance analysis to optimize stack-ups and interchangeability.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to optimize producibility and reduce cost without compromising quality.
  • Define and execute design verification plans, test methods, and qualification activities.
  • Mentor junior engineers and perform design reviews with cross-functional teams.
  • Support prototypes, pilot runs, and production ramp with rigorous issue resolution.

Qualification

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of mechanical design experience in industrial equipment, automation, or robotics.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Creo; experience with multiple platforms is a plus.
  • Strong experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and practical application to design validation.
  • Deep understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analyses.
  • Familiarity with DFMA principles, manufacturing processes, and supplier management.
  • Excellent communication and cross functional collaboration abilities; proven project leadership.
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering and testing methodologies is preferred.
