Job description
Join our premier Mechanical Engineering team at Apex Motion Technologies to design high-performance motion systems and drive innovation from concept to production.
We value hands-on problem solvers who combine strong fundamentals with a passion for precision and reliability. This role offers substantial ownership, mentorship, and opportunities to influence product strategy.
Responsibility
- Lead multidisciplinary design efforts for mechanical subsystems, including kinematic chains, actuators, and housings.
- Develop and validate concept designs through CAE simulations, prototyping, and testing.
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to define robust, cost-effective solutions.
- Own CAD models, GD&T, BOMs, and design documentation for release to manufacturing.
- Drive design for manufacturability and design for assembly improvements across the product life cycle.
- Plan and execute rigorous testing protocols, analyze results, and implement design optimizations.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical roadmaps and best practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on mechanical design experience in motion control, automation, or robotics.
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Creo) and CAE tools; strong understanding of FEA/CFD as needed.
- Experience with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMA principles.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and prototyping techniques.
- Proven track record of delivering reliable, manufacturable products on schedule.
