  • Lead feasibility studies, design reviews, and risk assessments to ensure robust solutions.
  • Develop GD&T dimensioning and tolerancing strategies to meet functional and cost targets.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers to optimize producibility and quality.
  • Create and maintain BOMs, specifications, test plans, and validation protocols.
  • Perform FEA, thermal, and structural analyses to validate performance under real-world conditions.
  • Prototype, test, and iterate designs with cross-functional teams to accelerate development timelines.
  • Provide technical mentorship and support during production ramp and after-market issues.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years of mechanical design experience in product development or a similar industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or Creo) and simulation tools (ANSYS or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes for metals and plastics.
  • Hands-on prototyping, testing, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project-management abilities.
  • Experience with PLM systems and documentation control; familiarity with ASME codes is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
