Join Apex Mechanical Systems, a leading engineering firm delivering high-performance mechanical solutions for aerospace, automotive, and industrial clients. We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to drive design, analysis, and optimization from concept through production.
In this role you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, own design specifications, perform FEA and thermal analyses, manage CAD models, and contribute to product lifecycle improvements.

Responsibility
- Lead mechanical design from concept to production release for mid- to large-scale systems.
- Perform FEA and thermal analyses to validate performance and robustness.
- Develop and maintain CAD models in SolidWorks and Creo; create detailed drawings with GD&T.
- Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, and quality teams to optimize manufacturability and cost.
- Manage design changes, BOMs, and documentation in PLM systems.
- Support prototype testing, test plans, and root-cause investigations.
- Mentor junior engineers and review work to ensure design quality.
- Interface with suppliers and customers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of mechanical design experience in manufacturing or aerospace/automotive.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo) and FEA (ANSYS, Abaqus) or CFD.
- Strong understanding of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes (machining, casting, injection molding).
- Experience with PLM systems, BOM management, and document control.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality standards is a plus.
- US work authorization or right to work; ability to travel as needed.
