Join Apex Motion Technologies, a premier mechanical engineering innovator delivering high performance motion systems for industrial clients. We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, analysis, and testing of next generation products.
In this role you will own the mechanical system from concept through production, collaborating with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable, cost effective solutions on aggressive timelines.
Responsibility
- Lead the mechanical design from concept through production release for motion and automation systems.
- Develop 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
- Perform FEA and thermal analyses to validate design integrity.
- Create test plans, prototype builds, and conduct verification testing.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing to optimize cost, manufacturability, and lead times.
- Ensure compliance with mechanical safety standards and industry codes.
- Own engineering documentation including BOMs, specifications, and release notes.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross functional project milestones.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master preferred.
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience in manufacturing or automation.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or PTC Creo; experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with testing, prototyping, and design validation.
- Excellent communication and project management skills; ability to lead cross functional teams.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Knowledge of materials selection and lifecycle cost analysis.
