Responsibility

  • Lead mechanical design of components and assemblies using CAD tools (SolidWorks or Creo) across multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Develop and validate CAE analyses (FEM/FEA, thermal, modal) to verify performance under real-world loading.
  • Ensure design for manufacturability with GD&T, tolerance analyses, and robust documentation for production readiness.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, BOMs, ECOs, and PLM records to support lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to optimize schedules and cost profiles.
  • Lead design reviews with customers and internal stakeholders; communicate data-driven insights and trade-offs.
  • Mentor junior engineers, promote knowledge sharing, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support prototypes, testing activities, and supplier interactions to validate design iterations.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of mechanical design experience in product development or manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks or Creo) and CAE tools; experience with FEA, CFD, or thermal analyses.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, drawing standards, and tolerance analysis; ability to interpret complex blueprints.
  • Experience with PLM, BOM management, ECO processes; familiarity with ASME Y14.5 is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; proven ability to work across cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and project-management capabilities.
  • Eligible to work in the United States; willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
