Job description

Join Micron Semiconductors in Singapore as a Senior Member of Technical Staff SMTS in Process Development. This pivotal role leads the development and optimization of next generation photolithography processes that define Micron's technology roadmap and manufacturing competitiveness. You will partner with cross functional teams across research, process integration, and manufacturing to translate cutting edge lithography concepts into scalable, robust production flows.

As the SMTS leader for process development, you will own technical direction from concept to implementation, run design of experiments to map process windows, analyze metrology data, and drive process control improvements that reduce variability and boost yield. You will mentor engineers, influence tool strategies and materials choices, and ensure seamless transitions from development to high volume manufacturing. Your work will directly impact device performance, wafer yields, and cost of ownership across multiple product lines.

We seek a collaborative innovator who thrives in a fast paced semiconductor environment, with a deep foundation in photolithography and resist chemistry, and the ability to communicate complex science to diverse teams. If you are excited by challenging problems, have a track record of delivering results, and want to shape the future of memory and logic hardware, this is the role for you.

Responsibility

  • Lead design, development, and optimization of next generation photolithography processes and materials for advanced semiconductor devices in Singapore.
  • Collaborate with process, device, and equipment teams to develop scalable lithography flows and process integration strategies.
  • Plan and execute design of experiments and data driven studies to map process windows, control strategies, and yield improvements.
  • Own process control methodologies, sampling plans, and statistical analysis to reduce variability and improve wafer-level metrics.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, provide technical direction, and contribute to roadmap planning and risk assessments.
  • Drive smooth transfers from development to manufacturing, including equipment validation, recipe stabilization, and scale up activities.
  • Evaluate new materials, photoresists, and exposure tools to enable high-density device features and improved pattern fidelity.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS, quality systems, and documentation standards across all projects.

Qualification

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; PhD preferred, or equivalent industry experience with a strong track record.
  • 8+ years in semiconductor process development with emphasis on photolithography, resist chemistry, and exposure tool practices in a leading fab.
  • Strong expertise in lithography process development, critical dimension control, metrology (CD-SEM, scatterometry), and design of experiments (DOE).
  • Hands on experience with immersion lithography, mask alignment, and various exposure tools (ASML, Nikon, Canon) and materials.
  • Proven success translating development outcomes into manufacturing readiness and delivering measurable improvements in yield and cost of ownership.
  • Data-driven decision making with proficiency in statistical tools (Minitab, JMP) and programming (Python, R) for data analysis.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills with the ability to influence cross functional teams and leadership.
  • Commitment to safety, quality systems, and documentation practices in a regulated manufacturing environment.
