Job description

Micron Semiconductors is seeking a high-impact Senior Member of Technical Staff in Process Development for Wet NAND applications in Singapore. This senior engineering role blends deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to advance next-generation memory manufacturing. You will collaborate with global teams to shape process roadmaps, scale innovative wet chemical processes from pilot to high-volume production, and ensure robust quality, reliability, and yield across NAND devices.

As an SMTS, you will own critical wet-process steps, drive design of experiments, analyze complex data, and translate insights into reliable process improvements. You will partner with cross-functional teams across lithography, etch, deposition, metrology, and equipment to optimize integration, equipment qualification, and process validation. You will champion safety, environmental, and manufacturing standards in a fast-paced cleanroom, while mentoring engineers and cultivating a culture of continuous learning.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on lab and fab experience with strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and clear communication with executives. You will contribute to RD&E roadmaps, influence tool selections, and collaborate with suppliers to deliver cost-out and performance gains for memory products. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape product performance and manufacturability at a global leader in memory technology.

We offer a dynamic, inclusive environment with opportunities for career growth, competitive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package. If you are passionate about advancing NAND technology and driving measurable results, apply today.

Responsibility

  • Lead development and optimization of wet-process steps for NAND fabrication, including process design, integration, and scale-up from pilot to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Design and execute robust DOE plans, analyze complex data, and translate results into actionable process improvements that increase yield and reduce variability.
  • Own process capability, process window, and yield metrics; drive continuous improvement programs and track key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in lithography, etch, deposition, metrology, and equipment to ensure seamless process integration and qualification.
  • Qualify and implement new equipment and processes; lead equipment acceptance tests, validation, and manufacturing transfer.
  • Champion safety, quality, reliability, and environmental standards within a fast-paced cleanroom environment; mentor junior engineers and support career development.
  • Lead technical communications with internal stakeholders and external partners; contribute to RD&E roadmaps and tool-selection decisions.
  • Drive cost-out opportunities, supplier engagement, and manufacturing efficiency improvements for NAND memory products.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Materials) or related field; Master’s preferred; 8+ years of semiconductor process development experience, with strong emphasis on wet processes for NAND or memory devices.
  • Hands-on experience with wet chemistry processes, cleaning, stripping, etching, and related process steps in a fab environment.
  • Proven track record of moving processes from development to manufacturing and delivering yield improvements and process stability.
  • Strong expertise in DOE, SPC, data analysis tools, and statistical methods; comfortable with data-driven decision making.
  • Experience with equipment qualification, process validation, and vendor management; ability to lead cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to mentor teams and influence across functions and levels of the organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of cleanroom safety, EHS practices, and manufacturing quality standards.
  • Eligibility to work in Singapore or equivalent work authorization; willingness to travel as needed.
