Join Global Ore Resources, a premier mining operator delivering sustainable ore extraction across open-pit and underground operations. We are seeking a results-driven Mining Engineer to lead mine planning, design optimization, and safety compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibility
- Lead short- and long-term mine planning and scheduling for open-pit and underground operations.
- Develop and optimize pit designs, sequencing, cutoffs, and mining methods to maximize ore recovery and minimize waste.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards; implement robust risk management and incident investigation processes.
- Collaborate with geologists, metallurgists, and project teams to improve resource modeling, reconciliation, and productivity.
- Monitor performance metrics, prepare technical reports, ore reserves estimations, and life-of-mine (LOM) plans.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee selection and implementation of mine software (Surpac, Vulcan, Micromine) and data systems.
- Support production engineers with daily planning and troubleshooting; mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering; master's degree preferred.
- Professional engineering credential (e.g., Chartered Professional Engineer or equivalent) or eligible in Australia.
- Minimum 5 years of mining engineering experience in open-pit and/or underground operations.
- Proficiency with mine planning and design software (Surpac, Vulcan, Micromine) and GIS; strong data analysis skills.
- Strong knowledge of mining methods, cost estimation, ore reserve estimation, and production scheduling.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management abilities; demonstrated safety leadership.
- Willingness to relocate or travel to remote sites and work rotating shifts where required.
