As a Senior Mining Engineer, you will collaborate with geologists, surveyors, and operations teams to optimize mining plans, improve reserve utilization, and deliver value across the life cycle of the mine.

Responsibility
- Lead the design and optimization of open pit and underground mining operations, ensuring safety and cost efficiency.
- Develop and review long-term mine plans, reserve estimates, schedules, and production forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations; manage risk and incident prevention.
- Coordinate with geologists, surveyors, and procurement to align blasting, layout, and equipment selection.
- Conduct economic analyses, life-of-mine planning, and capital project justifications.
- Manage project budgets, supplier contracts, and contractor oversight; monitor performance against KPIs.
- Implement innovative mining methods, automation, and equipment selection to optimize productivity.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports for management, regulators, and stakeholders.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering; Master’s preferred; Registered Professional Engineer status desirable (Australia: Engineers Australia).
- 5+ years of mining engineering experience with open pit and/or underground operations.
- Proficiency with mining software (e.g., Vulcan, Deswik, MineSight, Whittle) and MS Office.
- Strong knowledge of blasting design, rock mechanics, geotechnical considerations, and mine planning.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills; demonstrated safety culture.
- Experience with feasibility studies, life-of-mine planning, and capital project execution.
- Willingness to travel to site locations and work rotating shifts as required.
