Responsibility
- Develop, optimize, and review short and long-term mine plans
- Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards across all activities
- Coordinate with geology and survey teams for accurate resource modelling
- Lead costing, scheduling, and budgeting for mining projects
- Provide technical expertise for operational decision-making
- Mentor and train junior engineers and site staff
- Facilitate communication with contractors, consultants, and government regulators
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or similar discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in open-pit or underground mining
- Proficient in mine design and scheduling software (e.g., Surpac, Deswik, Vulcan)
- Strong knowledge of Australian mining legislation and safety practices
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
- Current manual driver’s licence
