As a Mining Engineer, you will apply geotechnical analysis, contribute to open pit or underground mine design optimization, and collaborate with geology, metallurgy, and operations teams to maximize safety, productivity, and ore recovery.

Responsibility
- Conduct geotechnical assessments and contribute to open pit or underground mine design optimization.
- Develop and implement drilling, blasting, and extraction plans in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
- Coordinate with geology, metallurgy, and operations teams to ensure design integrity and seamless project execution.
- Perform risk assessments, cost estimation, and schedule planning to meet production targets.
- Monitor key performance indicators and optimize ore recovery and dilution control.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company safety policies.
- Lead technical reviews, mentor junior engineers, and support procurement activities.
- Prepare engineering reports, design drawings, and change proposals for management review.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on mining experience (open pit or underground).
- Proficiency with mine design software (e.g., Surpac, Vulcan, Datamine) and data analytics.
- Strong knowledge of mining safety standards and environmental compliance.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel to field sites and adapt to challenging environments; valid driver's license.
- Professional registration or eligibility for chartered status (e.g., Engineers Australia) is a plus.
