Join Apex Energy Solutions as a Senior Petroleum Engineer, leading cross functional efforts in reservoir characterization, drilling optimization, and production optimization. This role combines technical leadership with strategic project delivery in a fast paced, safety conscious environment.
As a senior member of our engineering team, you will mentor junior engineers, develop field development plans, and drive value through data analytics and simulation.
Responsibility
- Lead reservoir and wellbore optimization projects from concept to execution, ensuring technical and economic viability.
- Develop and maintain reservoir models, integrate geological data, production history, and in-place resources to forecast performance.
- Collaborate with drilling, completions, and facilities teams to design efficient well programs and minimize non productive time.
- Perform economic evaluations and risk assessments to support project approvals and budget planning.
- Mentor engineers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to share best practices and advance technical capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and industry regulations across all engineering activities.
- Implement data analytics and simulation tools (Eclipse, CMG, and PIPES) to optimize recovery and project economics.
- Prepare technical reports, tender documents, and client presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master's preferred
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in petroleum engineering, reservoir engineering, or drilling optimization
- Strong proficiency with reservoir simulation tools (Eclipse, CMG, PIPES) and data analytics
- Experience with well design, completion strategies, artificial lift, and production optimization
- Solid understanding of petroleum economics, reserves estimation, and risk analysis
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
- Ability to work in cross functional teams in a fast paced, safety conscious environment
- Willingness to travel as required by project needs
