Blue Crest Energy Partners is seeking a Senior Petroleum Engineer to lead critical reservoir and production initiatives across our global portfolio. This role is based in Houston, TX, and offers exposure to world-class reservoirs and cross-functional teams.
As a Senior Petroleum Engineer, you will collaborate with geoscientists, drilling, completions, and facilities teams to evaluate new prospects, optimize wells, and implement data-driven reservoir management practices.
Responsibility
- Lead integrated reservoir studies and develop comprehensive field development plans.
- Develop well proposals, completion strategies, and production optimization plans to maximize recoverable reserves.
- Build and run reservoir simulations to forecast performance and economic outcomes.
- Collaborate with drilling, completions, and facilities teams to ensure safe, efficient execution of field development plans.
- Monitor production data, identify performance deviations, and implement optimization opportunities.
- Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge transfer across teams.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulatory requirements across projects.
- Prepare technical presentations for stakeholders and contribute to asset investment decisions.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering (Master's preferred); PE license is a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in reservoir engineering, production optimization, or integrated field development.
- Proficient in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, Nexus, or Petrel) and data analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of rock/fluid properties, reserves estimation, decline curve analysis, and economics.
- Experience with field development planning, well design, and artificial lift methods.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to present complex data clearly.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for field visits and client meetings.
