In this role, you’ll apply state‑of‑the‑art reservoir engineering, drilling, and data analytics to maximize asset value while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship. You will collaborate with Geology, Operations, and commercial teams to deliver high‑impact solutions that reduce uncertainty, improve recovery factors, and optimize capital allocation.

Responsibility

  • Lead reservoir engineering and production optimization studies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery and minimize decline rates.
  • Design, supervise, and optimize drilling programs, casing design, well trajectories, completions, and workovers.
  • Perform petrophysical evaluation, formation evaluation, and well log interpretation.
  • Develop integrated reserves estimates and production forecasts using standard economic evaluation tools.
  • Collaborate with Geology, Operations, Economics, and Asset Teams to develop and execute field development plans.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, regulatory, and industry standards; lead risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers; contribute to technology advancement and process improvements.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in oil and gas, including reservoir engineering, drilling, or completions.
  • Proficiency with industry software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel, PHDWin, Aries) and data analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Deep understanding of HSE, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex projects from concept to execution.
  • U.S. work authorization and willingness to relocate to the Houston area.
