Atlas Energy Group is seeking a seasoned Senior Petroleum Engineer to join our Houston team. This role blends reservoir engineering, drilling optimization, and field development planning to maximize asset value while adhering to safety and environmental standards. Responsibility
- Lead reservoir characterization and development planning to optimize field performance.
- Design and optimize drilling programs, completions, and stimulation strategies.
- Perform reservoir simulation, decline curve analysis, and production forecasting.
- Collaborate with geoscience, production, and facilities teams to implement field development plans.
- Manage budgets, risk assessments, and project timelines for upstream projects.
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers; contribute to technical reviews and knowledge sharing.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of upstream oil and gas experience in reservoir engineering, drilling, or field development.
- Proficiency with reservoir simulation and data analytics tools (e.g., ECLIPSE, CMG, Petrel, OFM).
- Strong understanding of well planning, production optimization, EOR methods, and surface facilities design.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in Houston area; US work authorization; willingness to travel as needed.
