Job description

EnerNova Energy, a leading operator in conventional and unconventional oil and gas, is seeking a Senior Petroleum Engineer to lead reservoir optimization and full-cycle asset development. This role blends technical excellence with strategic thinking to maximize value across our diversified portfolio. You will collaborate with geology, drilling, and production teams to design and execute high-impact projects while upholding the highest HSE standards.

You'll engage in reservoir characterization, simulation, and production optimization to improve recovery and project economics, while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a culture of safety and operational excellence.

Responsibility

  • Lead reservoir characterization, simulation, and strategy development to maximize recovery and economic value across assets.
  • Design and oversee drilling, completion, and stimulation programs in alignment with asset plans.
  • Perform reserves estimation, economic evaluations, and production forecasting using industry-standard tools.
  • Collaborate with geology, drilling, completions, and facilities teams to de-risk projects and optimize performance.
  • Implement production optimization initiatives, facility modeling, nodal analysis, and artificial lift strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, regulatory requirements, and company standards across all operations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the corporate knowledge base through design reviews and best-practice sharing.
  • Prepare technical reports, executive summaries, and present recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualification

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; PE license or eligibility preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in oil and gas, with demonstrated expertise in reservoir engineering and production optimization.
  • Proficiency with reservoir simulation and analytics tools (Eclipse, CMG, Petrel).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with economic evaluation, reserves estimation, and field development planning.
  • Knowledge of HSE standards, regulatory compliance, and good project management practices.
  • Willingness to travel to field locations as required and to relocate if necessary.
