Job description
We are a market-leading upstream energy company seeking a Senior Petroleum Engineer to drive reservoir characterization, well performance optimization, and field development planning across brownfield and greenfield projects.
In this role, you will lead multi-disciplinary teams, interpret complex data sets, and deliver robust economic evaluations that guide investment decisions. You will collaborate with geoscientists, drilling, production, and operations to optimize reservoir management and maximize asset value.
Responsibility
- Lead reservoir characterization, production analysis, and field development planning for mature and new prospects.
- Design and evaluate well completion strategies to optimize production and recovery.
- Develop dynamic models and simulations to forecast production and economic performance.
- Champion data-driven decision making by integrating petrophysical, seismic, production, and reservoir data.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional teams across onshore and offshore assets.
- Prepare technical reports, risk analyses, and management presentations for stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and industry best practices in all engineering activities.
- Support operations optimization, cost control, and project execution through lifecycle stages.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in upstream petroleum engineering and reservoir management.
- Strong competency in reservoir simulation tools (e.g., Eclipse, CMG) and production forecasting.
- Experience with data analytics, scripting (Python, MATLAB), and uncertainty quantification.
- Proven track record of delivering successful field development plans and economic evaluations.
- Excellent communication, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong understanding of HSE practices and regulatory compliance in oil and gas operations.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support field operations.
