Global Energy Partners is a leading oil and gas operator focused on safe, responsible growth. Based in Houston, we are seeking a Senior Petroleum Engineer to optimize hydrocarbon recovery across onshore and offshore assets.
In this role you will apply advanced reservoir engineering techniques, collaborate with geoscience and production teams, and oversee drilling, completions, and production optimization initiatives. You will champion safety, regulatory compliance, and data-driven decision making.
Responsibility
- Lead reservoir characterization, modeling, and simulation to optimize hydrocarbon recovery.
- Develop and supervise drilling programs, wellbore designs, and completions.
- Partner with geoscience, production, and facilities teams to evaluate field development plans.
- Perform economic evaluations, risk assessments, and capital allocation for projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and uphold engineering standards, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Implement EOR, stimulation, and artificial lift strategies to maximize production.
- Monitor performance metrics, prepare management reports, and drive continuous improvement.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering; Master's preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant oil and gas experience in reservoir, drilling, or production engineering.
- Proficiency with industry software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, Petrel) and strong data analytics.
- Solid understanding of HSE policies and offshore/onshore operations.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain in the U.S.; willingness to travel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in Houston.
