Global PetroTech Solutions is seeking a Senior Petroleum Engineer to join our Houston team. This high impact role focuses on maximizing asset value through reservoir optimization, production enhancement, and efficient well design. You will model reservoir performance, design drilling programs, and collaborate with geoscientists, operations, and commercial teams to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions.
Key responsibilities include leading technical initiatives, ensuring compliance with HSE standards, and translating complex data into actionable strategies that improve recovery and profitability.
Responsibility
- Lead and execute reservoir management activities, including planning, simulation, and performance monitoring using Eclipse, CMG, Petrel, or equivalent tools.
- Design and optimize drilling programs, casing designs, well workovers, and stimulation plans to maximize ROI.
- Analyze production data and reservoir performance to identify optimization opportunities and implement improvement projects.
- Collaborate with geoscience, operations, and commercial teams to develop integrated field development plans.
- Prepare technical briefs, risk assessments, and decision-ready reports for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in all activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the engineering function.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related field; master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in oil and gas exploration, development, or production operations.
- Proficiency with reservoir simulation and drilling engineering tools (Eclipse/CMG/Petrel, drilling software, well design platforms).
- Strong data analytics skills, including Excel, and familiarity with SQL or Python for data-driven decision making.
- Solid understanding of reservoir management, production optimization, and well testing concepts.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management abilities; ability to work in cross-functional teams and travel as needed.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
