Responsibility

  • Lead well design, completion strategies, and production optimization to maximize asset value.
  • Perform reservoir surveillance, data analysis, and decline curve analysis to forecast performance.
  • Collaborate with drilling, geoscience, and facilities teams to develop integrated field development plans.
  • Evaluate stimulation and EOR opportunities; design and analyze test programs.
  • Assess economic viability and partner with finance for project justification and risk assessment.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards, regulatory requirements, and operational controls.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards and process improvements.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in upstream oil and gas with emphasis on reservoir engineering or well design.
  • Strong proficiency with reservoir simulation and production engineering tools (e.g., Eclipse, PIPESIM, CMG).
  • Experience with data analytics, scripting (Python or R), and digital workflows.
  • Knowledge of HPHT well design, offshore/onshore operations, and safety culture.
  • Professional Engineering license (PE) in Texas or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills; ability to work across cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
