Job description
Join EnerGen Solutions as a Petroleum Engineer based in Houston, TX. This role focuses on reservoir management, drilling optimization, and production enhancement across onshore and offshore projects. You will apply modern engineering methods and collaborate with geoscience and operations teams to maximize reservoir performance while ensuring safety, compliance, and cost efficiency.
As a key member of our Upstream Engineering group, you will contribute to project planning, data analytics, and technology deployment to drive value across the lifecycle of oil and gas assets.
Responsibility
- Design, model, and optimize reservoir development plans to maximize recovery and minimize operating costs.
- Perform reservoir simulations and history matching to evaluate development options and forecast performance.
- Lead drilling optimization efforts, including well design, casing programs, and drilling parameter analysis.
- Monitor production systems, implement artificial lift strategies, and apply production optimization techniques.
- Collaborate with geoscience, facilities, and operations teams to drive value through integrated field planning.
- Lead risk assessments, manage project schedules, and contribute to safety and environmental programs.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years upstream oil and gas experience in reservoir, drilling, or production optimization.
- Proficiency with reservoir simulation and data analysis tools (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel, CMG, Python).
- Strong understanding of PVT properties, rock-fluid interactions, and reservoir management principles.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within one year.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
- Eligibility to work in the United States and willingness to travel as needed.
