Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on best-practice guidelines.
- Deliver hands-on manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and electrotherapy to reduce pain and restore function.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, activity modification, and injury prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with surgeons, general practitioners, and other health professionals to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and utilize outcome measures to demonstrate improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise junior physiotherapists and support staff; contribute to clinical supervision and training.
- Participate in clinic quality initiatives, case discussions, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Deliver community outreach and patient education workshops to promote musculoskeletal health.
Qualification
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent degree.
- Current registration with AHPRA (Australia) or equivalent governing body.
- Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience in physiotherapy, with advanced skills in manual therapy and exercise prescription.
- Proficiency in assessment, differential diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment planning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to educate patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and CPD; demonstrated willingness to mentor others.
- Experience with outcome measures, data tracking, and clinic quality initiatives.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
