Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive policy research using qualitative and quantitative methods to inform legislative recommendations.
- Draft briefs, issue papers, memos, and testimony-ready materials for internal teams and external audiences.
- Monitor federal and local policy developments, regulations, and political dynamics relevant to our focus areas.
- Collaborate with research, communications, and government affairs teams to produce timely policy insights and outreach materials.
- Present findings to senior leadership, funders, and external stakeholders; represent the organization at briefings and public events.
- Support coalition-building and stakeholder engagement with concise, data-driven messaging.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 4+ years of policy research or government affairs experience in a think tank, NGO, or public sector.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and visualization (Excel, Tableau, R, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to translate complex policy issues for varied audiences.
- Experience with legislative or regulatory processes and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with research software and basic econometrics is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with meticulous attention to detail.
