Job description
Join VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Pte Ltd as a Senior / Principal Process Engineer and help deliver robust and efficient semiconductor manufacturing processes through data-driven analytics. This is a high-impact role in our East Region fab, where you will lead the development, optimization, and transfer of critical processes across diffusion, etch, lithography, PVD, CVD, CMP, and wet processes, enabling high-yield production for next-generation devices.
You will own process development from concept through ramp, designing experiments to establish robust process windows and control strategies. You will analyze complex process data to drive yield improvement, defect reduction, and manufacturability, implementing corrective actions in close partnership with equipment engineering, metrology, and fabrication operations. A strong emphasis on documentation, safety, and quality systems will be part of daily work, with clear change control and MES integration.
As a senior contributor, you will mentor junior engineers, coordinate cross-functional project teams, and ensure successful process qualification, transfer to new production lines, and scalable manufacturing readiness. You will communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, present progress updates to leadership, and foster a culture of continuous improvement in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.
We are looking for a proactive, collaborative problem-solver who thrives on data-driven decision making and delivering tangible impact on product performance and manufacturing efficiency. If you are passionate about advancing semiconductor manufacturing and shaping high-volume processes in a global organization, this is an outstanding opportunity to contribute at the intersection of technology and operations.
Responsibility
- Lead the development, optimization, and transfer of critical semiconductor processes across diffusion, etch, lithography, PVD, CVD, CMP, and wet processes to high-volume manufacturing.
- Define and execute DOE/OCV experiments to establish robust process windows, control limits, and statistical process control (SPC) metrics.
- Analyze process data to drive data-driven decisions, yield improvement, and defect reduction; implement corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with equipment, metrology, and fab operations to troubleshoot process issues and maximize uptime and throughput.
- Lead process qualification, ramp, and transfer to new production lines; mentor engineers and ensure documentation compliance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards; maintain process changes in MES and documentation.
- Develop and maintain process recipes, parameter sets, and standard operating procedures (SOPs); optimize cycle times and materials usage.
- Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent methodologies; present findings to leadership.
Qualification
- Bachelor or Master in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred for Principal path.
- 5+ years (Senior) or 8+ years (Principal) of hands-on experience in diffusion, etch, lithography, PVD, CVD, CMP, and wet processes in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of process integration, defect mechanics, and yield analysis; experience with DOE, SPC, MSA, FMEA.
- Proficiency with data analytics tools (Excel, JMP, Minitab, Python/R) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Familiarity with cleanroom operation, safety, and quality standards (ISO 9001, EHS).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to mentor and lead teams.
- Experience with equipment qualification and vendor management; strong documentation and change control discipline.
- Willingness to relocate to Singapore East Region or willingness to travel as needed.
