In this role, you will partner with product teams, R&D, and manufacturing to deliver packaging formats that meet performance, cost, and sustainability targets across global markets. Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end packaging design and optimization for consumer goods, from concept to validation.
- Develop and own packaging BOMs, specifications, and testing protocols in collaboration with R&D and QA.
- Apply packaging simulations, CAD, and prototyping to evaluate form, fit, and function.
- Partner with operations and suppliers to scale molds, tooling, and production processes.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives through design for manufacturability and material optimization.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and labeling requirements across markets.
- Lead sustainability initiatives, including recyclability, recycled content, and carbon footprint reduction.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, or related field; master's preferred.
- 5+ years of packaging engineering experience in consumer goods or packaging development.
- Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks or AutoCAD) and expertise in packaging simulations (e.g., finite element analysis) is a plus.
- Experience with prototyping, 3D printing, and rapid iteration.
- Knowledge of materials science, barrier properties, sustainability, and recyclability.
- Project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams across regions.
- Strong communication, vendor management, and presentation skills.
