Join Lumen Arch Design Group, a premium architecture practice focused on transformative civic, cultural, and commercial projects. We seek a Senior Project Architect who will lead design excellence, client collaboration, and construction documentation from concept through completion. This role blends creative leadership with rigorous technical execution in a fast-paced, design-forward environment.
As a key member of our design team, you will shape project outcomes by guiding design intent, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards. You will mentor junior staff, uphold BIM standards, and contribute to the firm's growing portfolio of landmark projects.
Responsibility
- Lead architectural design development from concept through construction documents, ensuring design integrity and client satisfaction.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, and landscape disciplines; manage consultant/vendor relationships.
- Develop and present design concepts, sustainability strategies, and feasibility analyses to clients and stakeholders.
- Oversee building information modeling (BIM) workflows, standards, and clash detection; ensure model accuracy for documentation.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation; track milestones and deliverables.
- Review code compliance, permitting strategies, and coordination with authorities having jurisdiction.
- Mentor and supervise junior designers and architects; promote professional development and knowledge sharing.
- Provide construction administration support, site visits, RFI responses, and shop drawing reviews.
Qualification
- 8+ years of professional architecture experience with a strong portfolio in commercial, cultural, or civic projects.
- Accredited professional degree in Architecture; licensed architect preferred (or NCARB in process).
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM management, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong design sensibility with excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of building codes, accessibility, and sustainability practices (LEED or Green Globes a plus).
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and lead cross-disciplinary teams.
- Experience with construction administration, contracts, and client interfacing.
- High level of personal initiative, problem-solving ability, and team leadership.
