Job description
We are seeking a seasoned Property Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties in Austin, TX. This role demands leadership, financial acumen, and exceptional tenant relationships to maximize occupancy, optimize operating costs, and sustain asset value.
As the Property Manager, you will partner with operations, maintenance, and leasing teams to drive day to day performance, implement preventative maintenance, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
Responsibility
- Oversee daily operations for a portfolio of properties, including occupancy, rents, leases, and tenancy profiles.
- Drive leasing strategy, showings, renewals, and market analysis to achieve target occupancy and revenue.
- Coordinate maintenance and capital projects with in house technicians and trusted vendors, ensuring timely completion and quality.
- Develop and manage annual operating budgets, monitor variances, and report financial performance to stakeholders.
- Administer vendor management, contracts, and service levels to maximize efficiency and cost controls.
- Ensure compliance with fair housing, safety, and local housing regulations and uphold customer service standards.
- Lead a high performing property management team, setting goals, coaching, and measuring performance.
Qualification
- 3+ years of property management experience with a portfolio of residential and or commercial properties
- Real estate license or property management certification preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation, and tenant relations skills
- Proven budget management and financial reporting abilities
- Experience with property management software such as Yardi or AppFolio
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple properties concurrently
- Bachelor degree in real estate, business, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of local, state housing laws and safety regulations
