Are you a data-driven public health professional seeking to drive impact in a major urban center? Our team is hiring a Senior Public Health Analyst to lead surveillance, program evaluation, and policy development across citywide health initiatives. You will collaborate with epidemiologists, data scientists, and public health practitioners to translate insights into scalable programs.
Responsibilities span designing and maintaining dashboards, conducting statistical analyses, evaluating outcomes, supporting grant reporting, and communicating findings to stakeholders. This is a full-time role based in New York City with opportunities for hybrid work and a competitive benefits package.
Responsibility
- Lead population health surveillance and epidemiologic analyses to monitor key health indicators across NYC.
- Design, implement, and maintain dashboards and data visualizations using R, Python, SQL, and Tableau.
- Evaluate program impact, conduct outcome assessments, and prepare reports for policymakers and funders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data into actionable health interventions.
- Support grant writing, budgeting, and performance reporting to ensure funding compliance.
- Coordinate with city agencies and community partners to align interventions with public health priorities.
- Prepare clear communications and briefs for diverse stakeholders; present findings to leadership and the public health community.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related field; PhD or DrPH preferred for senior roles.
- 5+ years of public health experience with a focus on surveillance, evaluation, or health policy.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization: R, Python, SQL; experience with Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience working with health data systems, EHR data, or health information exchanges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Proven project management and grant reporting experience; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of NYC health landscape and stakeholder engagement; ability to work in the United States.
