Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end public health data analyses to inform program design and policy decisions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualizations (SQL, R/Python, Tableau/Power BI) for stakeholders.
- Ensure data quality, governance, privacy, and security across datasets.
- Collaborate with epidemiology, biostatistics, and program teams to translate data into actionable insights.
- Manage surveillance systems and support surveillance activities, outbreak detection, and monitoring.
- Prepare reports, briefs, and manuscripts for funders, policymakers, and internal leadership.
- Mentor and coach junior analysts; promote reproducible research practices and documentation.
Qualification
- Master's in Public Health, Biostatistics, Epidemiology or related field; PhD preferred.
- 3-5+ years of public health data analysis experience in a healthcare, government, or NGO setting.
- Proficiency in SQL, R, Python; experience with GIS and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).
- Experience with health surveillance data, PHI/HIPAA privacy compliance, and data governance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
