Responsibility
- Oversee and perform QC testing of biologics using state-of-the-art analytical techniques and instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC, ELISA, electrophoresis).
- Review, interpret, and report analytical results in compliance with GMP/GLP standards.
- Lead troubleshooting of laboratory equipment, methods, and technical issues to ensure test accuracy and consistency.
- Prepare, review, and approve technical documents, SOPs, and laboratory records.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, production, QA) for method transfer and product release activities.
- Ensure all laboratory activities comply with company policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Train and mentor junior chemists and laboratory staff to foster continuous improvement and skill development.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for QC processes and participate in internal/external audits.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a relevant scientific discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ QC experience in biologics or pharmaceutical industry, with strong knowledge of GMP/GLP standards.
- Proven proficiency in analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, ELISA, electrophoresis, spectroscopy).
- Experience preparing and reviewing technical documentation in a regulated environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex analytical and instrument issues.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for biologics and drug substances (e.g., ICH, FDA, EMA guidelines) is an advantage.
